If you grew up prior to the start of the new millennium, then you'll probably remember a time when you paid for cable service, but didn't necessarily have to have your cable box connected to your TV as you could just hook it up to your TV to enjoy a number of what cable companies had to offer, saving you a couple of bucks on renting out additional cable boxes. It looks like Time Warner Cable will start offering a similar experience to its customers, except it'll require using a Samsung Smart TV.
