The ZTE U988S is now closer than ever to its release date, it seems. This is going to be the world's first smartphone powered by Nvidia's Tegra 4 processor, according to ZTE's claims. The Tegra 4 was unveiled in January but hasn't gotten much traction since. The situation is so bad that Nvidia is actually considering making mobile devices itself so it can use the Tegra 4 for something.
But ZTE is apparently standing by Nvidia in these tough times, and has been working on the U988S for quite a while now. We first heard about this handset in early July, and things have certainly progressed since then.
