The most iconic messenger bag in the galaxy?

The most iconic messenger bag in the galaxy?

Raaawwwrr!  What else would everyone's favorite loyal Wookiee co-pilot use to carry his gadgets (and maybe snacks) besides the Star Wars Chewbacca Messenger Bag?  Originating as a Comic Con exclusive item, this bag has been (somewhat) faithfully reproduced by ThinkGeek, with the main portion of the bag made from brown, (perhaps not Chewie-approved) vegan-friendly, imitation leather and a shoulder strap made from tough seat belt material (though the ammunition cartridges are painted on).  It also features a fabric-lined interior with organization features that will even accommodate a small laptop or tablet, hidden magnet closure top flap, b

Nokia's HERE Auto Revealed To Be In-Dash Navigation System

Less than 24 hours ago, Nokia teased the tech world by publishing a blog post saying Nokia HERE would be made available in vehicles. After being unable to sleep due to the upcoming announcement, we're sure you'll be happy to hear Nokia kept to their promise and has announced HERE Auto. HERE Auto is an embedded in-dash navigation system that uses the combination of a companion application, called HERE Auto Companion app, and a cloud service. Once you equip your vehicle with HERE Auto, you'll be able to receive voice navigation while you zip around town, with an option of using a data connection or being completely offline.

McDonald's Happy Table Turns Your Smartphone Into Digital Playgrounds

McDonald's Happy Table Turns Your Smartphone Into Digital Playgrounds

For years now, McDonald's has thrown in a toy either promoting the release of a new film, cartoon series or just for the heck of it in their Happy Meals. Children and some adults have enjoyed playing with these toys for years, but they may be getting a huge upgrade if its latest experiment, called the Happy Table, actually makes it into McDonald's restaurants. The Happy Table requires the child, or adult, to have a smartphone that supports NFC capabilities along with a free application which will turn the device into a car driven by one of the fast-food chain's famous mascots.

Halo Xbox One Story Details Leaked On Microsoft Store

Prior to the announcement of the Xbox One, gamers knew a new title was already in the works for the next-generation console which would allow us to play as Master Chief as he battles whoever is the current risk to the galaxy. We knew there'd be a new Halo, but for those of us who actually care more about its story over its multiplayer, we didn't exactly know what the game would be about. Thankfully, Microsoft has finally accidentally shed a little bit of light on where the next Halo will take us.

Autocar pits McLaren MP4-12C against turbo Toyota GT86

Autocar pits McLaren MP4-12C against turbo Toyota GT86

The Toyota GT86, in all of its forms, is one of the best-handling cars money can buy, a trait that can put a smile on the faces of all but the most jaded car enthusiasts. But if good handling isn't what they're looking for, then what is. Our first guess would have to be more power, something the 200-horsepower Toyota would benefit from. Autocar tries out that theory by driving two turbocharged GT86s on track, then pitting the more powerful one against the 616-hp McLaren MP4-12C in a track battle.
The first GT86 turbo Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe drives makes around 255 rear-wheel horsepower and a bucket-load more torque than the stock car.

We already know the Samsung Galaxy Gear is set to be unveiled during Samsung's IFA event in Berlin. Other than confirmation from a Samsung exec, little other info is known about Samsung's smartwatch. LG 4K TV Prices Slashed

LG 4K TV Prices Slashed

Many companies unveiled their 4K TVs earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show. However, 4K TVs haven't gained much traction. Its not because the products are bad or the technology is not up to the market, its actually the complete opposite of that. The problem is that these TVs come with price tags that run into thousands of dollars, not everyone can afford to spend that much on a television. We reported a couple of days ago that both Sony and Samsung have cut prices on their 4K TVs, today LG has followed suit.

LG confirmed that it is slashing the prices of it's 55 and 65 inch 4K TVs. The new prices go in effect on September 1st.

France's highest administrative court said yesterday that authorities must resume registering Daimler vehicles, which were formally banned in late July, Automotive News reports, even though they are still equipped with R134a air-conditioning refrigerant. The refrigerant is illegal in the European Union and is the reason for this legal battle, which has restricted the registration of Mercedes-Benz A-, B-, CLA- and SL-Class vehicles in France.

Samsung may ditch plastic panels next year in favor of metal ones

The Samsung Galaxy lineup has taken the smartphone world by storm, but for the past two years the Koreans have been subjected to heavy criticism over their preference of plastic panels. If latest rumors are to be believed, though, this might change next year. According to the latest reports coming from Samsung's homeland, the manufacturer is planning on changing the Galaxies design and switch from plastic to metal. There were some earlier rumors about Samsung showing interest in carbon fiber too.

The most likely candidates to replace the plastic are aluminum and magnesium.

The 102-year-old man from Confluence, Pennsylvania has only owned Ford products since the 1920s, and he's done so well by Ford Trucks that the division named him honorary president for a day, not long after he took delivery of his latest ride, a 2013 F-150 STX. Peugeot is getting serious about upping its performance game. After posing the only serious threat to Audi at Le Mans and smashing the record at Pikes Peak, the French automaker brought some of that performance to the road with the debut of the RCZ R at Goodwood earlier this summer, and is now apparently ready to unveil a new hot hatch concept at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. What we have here is the 308 R Concept, a hot hatch show car that's based on (and will debut alongside) the new 308 hatchback. Just how "elastic" is the band of this new category known as "phablets" can stretch. It really depends on the hardware manufacturer, and according to Kobo, they claim that their 6" Kobo Aura eReader is a tablet, although we have seen some smartphones/phablets that have surpassed that screen size already (the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes into mind). Well, soft lighting often involves nice and warm hues, and would always be nice to have if you want the right ambience to kick off a romantic dinner or tete-a-tete. Well, soft lighting also tends to come the form of lamps, but you ought to be extremely careful with these since they can be rather fragile, depending on the lamp's manufacturer, of course.

Unfortunately the game was announced for the PlayStation 3, which was a little weird given that Sony had already unveiled the PlayStation 4 and many had presumed Gran Turismo 6 would arrive on the PS4. The semi-good news back then was that a PS4 version of the game was being planned, but speaking recently during gamescom 2013 in Germany, Polyphony Digital's CEO, Kazunori Yamauchi, revealed that by the time Gran Turismo 6 made its way onto the PS4, it could very well have evolved to Gran Turismo 7 by then.

New Windows Phone Ad Highlights The Lumia 1020's Camera Abilities

When it comes to advertising their products, Microsoft has never been shy in comparing themselves against the competition, highlighting some of the disadvantages and flaws of their competitors' products. Watch these Australian Ford and Holden muscle cars duke it out

Australia's Motoring has put together a little video on two of the great performance vehicles available down under - the Holden VF Commodore HSV GTS and the Ford Falcon FPV GT R-Spec. And while both FPV and the Falcon might be on their way out, there's still plenty of time for a little head-to-head comparison between the two. The cars aren't all that well evenly matched, though. The Ford boasts a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8, which the Aussies measure out at 449 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.
