Interestingly, it's priced at just $199 which is considerably cheaper than several other competing tablets, yet it does not compromise on features. Amazon Kindle Fire features a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display covered by Gorilla Glass. This protects the display from usual domestic dents and scratches. The physical appearance reminds us of BlackBerry Playbook (no buttons on the face), but yes there's Android under that display.
Kindle Fire is powered by a dual-core TI OMAP4 CPU, driven by Android OS nicely topped with Amazon's custom UI. There's plethora of apps and serves built right into the tablet.
