Toshiba Satellite Z830: The Perfect Laptop for Travellers

The Satellite Z830 also has a backlit keyboard which is useful especially if you are typing in a low-light environment. 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid gets bigger, better battery pack, lower MSRP

2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid gets bigger, better battery pack, lower MSRP

Just yesterday, we told you how Hyundai's 2013 Sonata Hybrid was late out of the gate (along with its mechanical twin, the Kia Optima Hybrid), with growing speculation suggesting that the company was revisiting its gas-electric sedan with an eye toward improving its efficiency. Well, today Hyundai has released official details, and that's exactly what's happened. Sporting a larger starter generator, a higher output electric motor and a more potent 47 kW lithium polymer battery, the 2013 Sonata hybrid is more efficient than before. The revised hardware helps the sedan jump two miles per gallon combined over its 2012 predecessor.

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

When are stripes more than just stripes. Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight. This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport. The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model.

Goodbye to the spinner belt by John Cena. WWE Champion The Rock has unveiled the brand new WWE Title last night on RAW. It looks pretty much the same as rumored one which is on the internet for quite some time. The belt is also available for purchase in the official site for $450. Which is better? Spinner or this new one? I gotta say this one look more classy and suits The Rock more.

"Carry an Education" in a Stone + Cloth bag

When Matthew Clough, the founder of Stone + Cloth, realized the man who guided his climb of Mount Kilimanjaro earned only $1-$2 per day, he knew Benson didn't earn enough to send his children to school.  Matthew realized how lucky he was to have been born with the privileges he had, and he wanted to do something to help those without the opportunities we enjoy in America receive an education.  He discovered the Knock Foundation was already established and doing good works in Tanzania, so he decided to work with them.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing – a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose.

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?

Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more. MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet.

Razer Re-releases StarCraft 2 Peripherals

We have seen George Lucas more or less release his Star Wars cash cow for all it is worth – wait a minute, I take that back. Otherwise, he would not have done Episode 1 in 3D. But I digress, does the same tactic work when it comes to computer gaming peripherals. Razer thinks so, having re-released their range of StarCraft 2 peripherals ahead of the the Heart of the Swarm expansion, hoping to ride on the coattails of the game's popularity to boost hardware sales along the way.

American Express and Twitter let you pay with #AmexSync

American Express recently announced that consumers who use Twitter will be able to pay for items using a special hashtag for certain products and websites.  After tweeting them what you want, you get a confirmation hashtag.  You then need to tweet back the confirmation hashtag, an email will be sent to you, then you need to confirm again that you want the product. It then gets shipped to your billing address.
Although this seems easy enough, a lot of questions come to mind.

Black HTC One Press Shot Gets Attention

We are getting very close to the HTC One, aka HTC M7, launch next week, and so far, the images that have leaked look quite interesting, including this black HTC One photo. They show a (seemingly) slim and nice design in either black or silver color. The design is minimalist and the build-quality seems even higher than what HTC did for the HTC One X, which we reviewed last year. On the photo you can see HTC Sense 5, which is quite a departure (design-wise) from previous versions.

Huge Rebate Plan For Nikon Lenses Coming [Rumor]

Nikon is rumored to be in the process of putting in place a major rebate plan for its line of lenses.  The rebate plan is supposed to be introduced at midnight on Saturday and is set to include some top selling lenses.  Another major part of the rebate plan is that buyers will not have to buy a body in order to become eligible for the plan. The major reason why this would happen (if it does happen) is Nikon's financial report for its third quarter.

Gullwing America turns SLS AMG Roadster into stunning 1955 300 SC redux

Gullwing America specializes in what it calls "retro styling meets modern technology." It's next demonstration of that is the convertible above, a stylized recreation of the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SC (inset) supported by the structure of a 2012 SLS AMG Roadster. Commissioned by a client in Eastern Europe, the resulting car is called the 300 SLC. The hand-formed aluminum bodywork required just a few changes to the SLS AMG Roadster, namely reworking the headlights into a stacked arrangement of LEDs and relocating the pop-up spoiler behind the cabin.

Tesla takes New York Times to task for damning Model S review

The social media tête-à-tête between the New York Times and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, stemming from a defamatory review by John Broder of the Model S and Tesla's new "Supercharger" network on the East Coast, is heating up in a major way. Just yesterday we summarized the Twitter spat, and now Musk has expanded upon the data recorded during Broder's test drive – adding major credence to the criticism of the NYT writer. The smoking gun in this case is the information that was captured by the data recorder in Broder's loaned Model S.
