2009-2012 X5 xDrive35d recalled for problematic pulley

2009-2012 X5 xDrive35d recalled for problematic pulley

There is nothing to hate about the gobs of torque available in the diesel-powered BMW X5 xDrive35d, but the fact that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall for broken idler pulley bolts might be a bad example of the engine's strength. In addition to the recall, InsideLine is also reporting that BMW has issued stop-sale for all vehicles still in dealer inventory. On the 29,800 diesel X5 models affected by the recall, the idler pulley bolt could back out and/or break, which would cause a loss of power steering.
