Leak confirms Maserati product plans, five new models

Leak confirms Maserati product plans, five new models

It isn't a secret that Maserati is planning a product expansion in an attempt sell 50,000 units annually by 2015, but the automaker hasn't officially announced just how it plans to do so. Yes, we've seen (and driven) the 2014 Quattroporte, checked out spy shots for the smaller Ghibli sedan and Maserati even confirmed the Levante name for its SUV, but a leaked document reported by CarScoop could shed some light on how the Italian automaker intends on carrying out its rapid growth.

Is Windows 7 Responsible for Poor Windows 8 Sales?

Is Windows 7 Responsible for Poor Windows 8 Sales?

Why you ask. Well, for starters Windows 7 is a "no problem" OS, I've been running on Windows 7 since its release and never had a problem with it, no crashes, no performance lag and if I was born few years ago, I would have had to look BSOD up on Wikipedia, it's really that good. Users, who got new machines with the release of Windows 7, 3 years ago, are still in pretty good shape which is unheard of when it comes to Windows platform.

Security Loophole Found in Facebook Camera App

Security Loophole Found in Facebook Camera App

If your Facebook Camera app on your Apple device is older than version 1.1.2, which was released on December 21st, you have to update it immediately. A security loophole was spotted in the app, which could put you at risk from having your personal information stolen. When you use the older version of Facebook Camera over WiFi networks, malicious hackers can infiltrate the network and hijack your account, picking up personal details such as email addresses and passwords.

Amazon Sells Stolen iPhones

Amazon Sells Stolen iPhones

Receiving an iPhone as a Christmas present is probably at the top of everyone's wishlist. But, what if it is a stolen iPhone. Will it still be that special. Unfortunately, this happened to Ben Dreyfuss, who bought an iPhone for his mom this Christmas. When Ben's mom called Verizon to activate her shiny iPhone, she was shocked to hear that the unit was stolen. “Son, you gave me a stolen iPhone?” Ben's mom asked.

Apparently Ben had bought the iPhone from one of Amazon's refurbished warehouse deals. “It was one of those refurbished phones that actually came from an Amazon trade-in,” Dreyfuss said on Twitter.

Hollywood Studios Reportedly Using BitTorrent To Pirate Movies

Hollywood Studios Reportedly Using BitTorrent To Pirate Movies

Movie studios and record labels have always lamented how online piracy is destroying the industry and as we have seen in the past, these media giants have gone to rather extreme measures to punish individuals who have allegedly downloaded copyrighted material illegally. Interestingly it seems that despite their stance on the whole issue of piracy, it would seem as though some Hollywood studios might be guilty of pirating movies themselves. The folks at TorrentFreak are reporting that they are using BitTorrent monitor Scaneye to track down IP addresses they believe are associated with Hollywood studios.

Are these the first press shots of the Mercedes-Benz CLA? (video)

We'll say right now that we aren't sure of their provenance; however, the site Auto Monthly has five of the kind of stylized press shots you get before a vehicle is officially revealed. In this case the car is the Mercedes-Benz CLA, and since the little sedan is meant to debut next month at the Detroit Auto Show, the existence and release (or leak) of such photos would fit right into the timeline. We've already seen the thing naked in spy shots, and this lines up with the sneak peek from Iceland.

Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible photos hit web early

Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible photos hit web early

It was Indiana Jones and that whole ark episode that gave us the best example of what happens after leaks: once you break the seal, all hell breaks loose and there's no way you're putting it back. We aren't sure who lifted the lid, but official photos of the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible showed up on Flickr last week, and so here we are presenting them to you. If it follows the Bentley playbook as the last GT Speed – and we have no reason to believe it won't – beyond the lack of a top there won't be much difference between it and the coupe than a few minor numerals.

Man Builds Spaceship For Son

If you have a young boy in your home who has an overactive imagination, then you might want to brace yourself to be a superdad after reading this. Five year old Finn is one blessed kid, as his dad took the time, trouble and creativity to use discarded TV broadcast equipment in order to conjure this unique spaceship bed, which is more than ideal to send a kid's imagination soaring as he figure out just what he is going to be when he grows up. The panel is a Grass Valley video switcher, which is a piece of equipment deemed as useless since it was fished from of a dumpster that is behind a local TV station.

If you have answered in the affirmative, then you might be pleased to hear that someone has taken the Nokia Lumia 620 apart (carefully, of course, and not in a haphazard manner), where you can see from above the standard assortment of buttons and antennas. It is rather interesting to note that the Lumia 620 might be the lowest end Windows Phone 8 device from Nokia, but it comes with a second microphone.

The feat follows after the video made its way into the Guinness World Record for the most number of YouTube likes – approximately 6,098,012 likes as of this writing. Expect the numbers to grow in the coming days.
It's important to note that PSY's “Gangnam Style” is only a single. And yet, people around the world ate the song like crazy, not to mention the wacky horse dancing.

Well, we have seen the Replay Social Denim jeans before that can update your social network on the go, and this time around, I/O Denim's line of American made, premium denim range will not be that smart, but at least it comes with an innovative pocket that was specially designed to hide and house smartphones.

Amazon Mobile For Android Updated With Push Notifications For Shipments and Arrivals

It is the most wonderful time of the year, where people give gifts and expect something in return. It's the season of giving, that's why Amazon is updating its Amazon Mobile app for Android to allow shoppers to stay up to date with their orders. The major piece of today's update is the push notifications feature which alerts users each time an order is being shipped and delivered. This will prove to be nifty especially for the holiday season.
The update also adds a daily notification for Amazon's Lightning Deals. But that's not all.

Apple's next-gen iPad mini rumored to be nearing production

The iPad mini was launched not too long ago, and assuming Apple keeps to its yearly schedule, the next-gen iPad mini will probably see a launch next year around the same time. However Apple did break that trend when they released the iPad 4 less than a year after the third-gen iPad, so might it be possible that they might do the same with the iPad mini. According to RBC Capital Markets analyst Doug Freedman, it seems that production of the next-gen iPad mini might have been accelerated.

LG Targets Apple In New Ads

LG Targets Apple In New Ads

We have seen some companies poke fun at another in ads, and one of the more memorable ones that I grew up with was the tagline, "Sega does what Nintendon't". Who could forget the Pepsi-Coke war as well, and in the realm of geeks, we have tech companies taking pot shots at one another, all in good humor with a dose of truth in them.

7,000 Nintendo Consoles Worth $2 Million Stolen

At most, 7,000 households will miss out on a Nintendo Wii U this coming Christmas if one were to put on Sherlock Holmes' deerstalker, considering how it was reported that more than 7,000 Nintendo consoles were stolen from a warehouse during the previous weekend. With a $300 price tag slapped on each Nintendo Wii U, it makes perfect sense to arrive at the $2 million insurance claim, as the previous generation Wii console goes for only half that amount, which would mean that the insurance claim would have been halved as well if one were to apply some common sense and logic into the picture.

As you may have heard, Motor Trend recently threw the 2013 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and the 2013 SRT Viper GTS at each other. And while it was somewhat shocking to hear that the aging ZR1 actually managed to narrowly walk away as the winner of this particular scrap, something else interesting happened during the dust up. Motor Trend called on pro driver Randy Pobst to thrash the two bruisers around Laguna Seca, and thrash he did. Pobst managed to bolt out a time of 1:33.70 in the ZR1, besting the old record of 1:33.99 set by Chris Winkler some three years ago.
