Back in April we first got hold of ZTE's smartphone sales plans for this year. It was obvious that they were going to be ambitious ever since MWC in February, where the Chinese company showcased literally dozens of new devices. Time has passed though, and most of those haven't yet made their way into the hands of consumers. But the company is still hopeful.
ZTE wants to sell 35 million smartphones this year. That's according to Ryu Chienhao, the guy in charge of phone strategy over there (seen in the picture below).
So the Chinese company has just confirmed the approximate number coming out of ‘sources' a couple of months ago.
