When the MacBook Air was first launched, many saw it as a laptop for those who were rich as not only was the ultra-thin laptop expensive, but the first generation MacBook Air featured specs that just simply could not justify the price Apple was asking for. Fast forward to 2011 and now the MacBook Air has replaced Apple's white MacBook as the entry level laptop, featuring Intel's second-generation Core processors and solid-state drives, the MacBook Air just got a lot more competitive. So much so that it appears Apple resellers are having trouble keeping the products in stock and have raised the prices on the 13" MacBook Air models.
