AMD Graphics Core Next Hits Mobile, announces Radeon HD 7700M, 7800M and 7900M

Truth to be told, AMD Radeon HD 7000 GPU series have actually arrived into mobile space just a short while ago via Radeon HD 7600M, 7500M and 7400M GPUs. However, these GPUs were actually based on previous generation 6000M series' Turks and Caicos GPUs while by then, the HD 7000 series for desktop have begun to offer new performance and enthusiast-level GPUs based on the new 28nm Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture. The wait for GCN-based Radeon HD GPUs for mobile ends today though as AMD have officially unveiled the new Radeon HD 7700M, 7800M and 7900M GPU series.

European Patent Office invalidates IPCom 3G patent, gives good news to Nokia and HTC

IPCom's had its way with many mobile manufacturers, including Nokia and HTC, by suing them for patent infringement in German courts. However, the Finnish and Taiwanese firms got good news today when the European Patent Office invalidated one of its 3G patents - the very same one it used to obtain an injunction against HTC. IPCom's not going away quietly, however, as it plans to appeal the EPO's decision.

Costco offering DROID RAZR with accessory bundle for just $80 [Deals]

Costco offering DROID RAZR with accessory bundle for just $80 [Deals]

While it would probably be more sensible to go for the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX at this point, Costco is offering up a deal that’s pretty hard to pass by. For just $80, you can get an original DROID RAZR, an HD dock, an. HDMI cable, and a mobile charger. The inclusion of the mobile charger would probably make the fact that the RAZR doesn’t have a 3,300mAh battery easier to swallow. And it’s not like the RAZR’s battery life is horrible, it’s just not as good as the MAXX’s. A new two-year contract will get you on your way. The deal ends may first.

Samsung Galaxy S3 shows up in Kies, AnTuTu benchmark

Samsung Galaxy S3 shows up in Kies, AnTuTu benchmark

As May 3rd approaches, more and more references to the Samsung Galaxy S3 are appearing online. For starters, Samsung’s added the device to their Kies software. It’s useful to no one but devices testers right now, but it gives legs to an already obvious rumor.

Alongside that, benchmark results for the device have surfaced at AnTuTu. To keep it short and simple, it completely smoked the competition. Only the ASUS Transformer Prime with its quad-core Tegra 3 processor could compete with it.

More importantly, the specs it shows are absolutely beast-like.

Ford no longer junk at Fitch as stock returns to investment grade

Ford no longer junk at Fitch as stock returns to investment grade

No doubt Ford has seen the light shining at the end of its turnaround plan for a while, but now The Blue Oval is getting so close to the daylight it might even be able to smell the fresh air. By the end of 2005, Ford stock was rated so low by the three major ratings agencies that it was floating in the cistern above the basement of junk status. After Mulally came onboard, the company put up everything to get the money to work his plan, from the company logo to its real estate. In order to get it back, two of the three agencies need to rate Ford stock as investment grade, and one, Fitch, has just done so.
