Just as promised, the HTC Evo View 4G — Sprint's version of the HTC Flyer — is receiving it's Honeycomb OTA update (software version 2.23.651.1), finally pushing the tablet up to the more “evolved” version of the Android OS optimized just for tablets. Honda Crosstour gains four-cylinder model for 2012

Ever since the launch of the, uh, polarizing Honda Crosstour, the rumormill has been buzzing with word that Honda might someday add a four-cylinder engine to the lineup. Makes sense, since the Accord on which it's based offers a four-pot, and the CUV's key competitor, the Toyota Venza, also offers a more efficient four-cylinder powertrain. The 2012 Crosstour – remember, it no longer wears the Accord name – will now be offered with a 2.4-liter inline-four in its EX and EX-L trims.

Verizon States No LTE Performance Issue with the Galaxy Nexus, Will Adjust Status Bar to Better Match Other Devices

Verizon has made a statement regarding a planned update to handle Galaxy Nexus 4G issues, and it doesn’t involve tweaking the phone’s radio firmware. As was reported yesterday after independent testing, the Galaxy Nexus is privy to the same signal strength as other 4G devices on Verizon’s network, the difference is the way it reports its status. To adjust for this, Verizon will be updating the phone’s software to translate signal strength to status bars in a similar way to other currently available LTE devices.

Though the official update to Ice Cream Sandwich is likely a good way off, a newly leaked ROM for the HTC Sensation is giving us our first glimpse at how the Sense UI will appear when coupled with Android 4.0. At first glance, not a whole lot looks to change. Notification bar icons remain rather uniform with current Sense releases and the interface retains a familiar feel. After brief outage, Verizon 4G LTE network is ‘returning to normal'

We received a number of reports this morning from Verizon Wireless customers complaining that the carrier's 4G LTE network was down in various parts of the country, and Verizon has confirmed that the network is now returning to normal after the outage. “Verizon Wireless 4G LTE service is returning to normal this morning after company engineers worked to resolve an issue with the 4G network during the early morning hours today,” a Verizon spokesperson said in a statement to The Verge. “Throughout this time, 4G LTE customers were able to make voice calls and send and receive text messages.

Sony puzzles over PS Vita glitch reports

Sony is hopping mad that there were a bunch of stories circulating around the Internet, touting that the first batch of PS Vitas that hit Japan has been plagued by issues such as software bugs, unresponsive touchscreens and complete system freezes. We would like to apologize for adding fuel to the fire though. Sony did acknowledge that a handful of new PS Vita owners might have experienced “isolated malfunctions”, but is rather firm in their viewpoint that users should no longer be experiencing any more issues, considering it moved over 300,000 units during the launch weekend in the Land of the Rising Sun.
