The perception is this – the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the most desirable Android-powered smartphone at the moment, simply because it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with powerful hardware that enables it to perform just about all tasks it is supposed to with aplomb. Well, some owners have found out the hard way that not everything works as it was supposed to, where they claim that many apps perform at a mediocre level at best. Is there a way to do away with such lag. Thankfully, the answer is an avid “Yes!”, where you will need to enter the “Settings” menu, scroll right down and tap on Developer options.

ASUS to debut 7-inch Eee Pad tablet at CES

. ASUS took the Android world by storm when it launched the Eee Pad Transformer last year. The Taiwanese company again shook things up with a sequel, the Transformer Prime. Both devices featured a 10.1-inch display with the ability to dock into a keyboard, transforming the tablet into a netbook. However, newly-leaked promotional images obtained by Notebook Italia suggest that ASUS is readying a 7-inch Eee Pad tablet that is set to debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in just a few weeks. It is unclear whether this new device is the delayed Eee Pad MeMO, that debuted at last year's CES, or perhaps a smaller Transformer tablet.

LG announces nearly borderless 55-inch OLED HDTV

. New record-breaking televisions are compulsory at the Consumer Electronics Show each year, and LG will be among the companies this year staking claim to HDTV sets that go where no TV has gone before. The South Korea-based electronics giant announced over the weekend that it will be showing off the world's largest OLED TV at CES 2012 next week.

Looks like emails have gone out to users of Motorola's Google Experience XOOM devices (the XOOM WiFi available in America, pretty much) alerting them to tests that will begin soon for the device. Of course, one question immediately comes to mind: is this a common bug fixer or something more. Well, considering that Motorola has singled out the only Google Experience XOOM, it could lend credence to the belief that they'll be testing Ice Cream Sandwich. It's hard to get excited, of course, considering there are no other details whatsoever but one can only dream.

Motorola Droid 4 Accessories Hit Shelves, Release Date Still Unknown

After the Motorola Droid 4 failed to show up for its rumored coming out party back in December, popular thought shifted to a delayed release until sometime in February. This still may be the case, but the arrival of a few cases for the unreleased smartphone has us at least entertaining the idea that we could see the next entry in the popular franchise sooner. Not much can be gathered from the third-party accessories. Then again, we already know practically everything we need to about the Droid 4. Will the handset make an appearance at next week’s CES happenings? It’s possible.

Leaked Render Shows AT&T-branded Samsung Galaxy Note

Rumors have placed the Samsung Galaxy Note on AT&T's network at some point later in the year, and we now have the first render of the device sporting the carrier's logo. The phone, which features a monster-sized screen measuring in at over 5 inches, has garnered a bit more interest than initially expected.

Dropbox Automator Processes, Edits Your Dropbox Files

You can use the automator to add lens flare to your photos, J.J Abrams-style. Dropbox Automator does exactly what it promises to do: It takes files in your Dropbox and does things to them, automatically. Point it at a folder and it'll check every few seconds for anything new. Then, when you add a file, it acts.

Photos can be sent to Facebook, or have special effects added to them. Documents can be converted to PDFs, and files can be zipped, encrypted or even moved to another Dropbox folder. And there are plenty more actions to choose from.

Dropbox is pretty great, and there are lots of local ways to act on new files locally.
