Chrome for Android Finally in the Works

According to Issue 8008026 posted to the Chromium Code website, Google may finally be bringing together two of its biggest recent projects with the introduction of the Chrome browser for Android. It wouldn't mark the first time the two platforms have shared screen time (that honor goes to Google TV), but this is the first indication that we could see a version of the popular web browser custom built for Android handsets. It goes without saying that Chrome would amount to a huge step forward from the minimalistic browser currently bundled with the Android OS. So when will we get our first look at Chrome for Android? The answer isn't so clear.

HTC Sense Gives Away Personal Data to Any App That Asks

HTC's Sense-skinned phones will blab to just about anyone who asks. Photo Jon Snyder/Wired.com. HTC's skinned version of Android — running on the EVO 4G and Thunderbolt amongst others — has a fatal flaw which will allow any application access to a huge treasure trove of personal information.
The list of available data contains almost everything that happens on your phone and includes GPS location data, phone numbers, SMS data (plain numbers and encoded text), plus a whole lot more.

The problem exists in HTC's custom Sense UI, and is due to logging tools that HTC recently added.

Sprint iPhone 5 spotted in Radio Shack inventory list?

Sprint users, it looks like your wait for the iPhone 5 is almost over. Over the past few months we've had some hints about the iPhone arriving on the Now Network. The increased Early Termination Fee, increased upgrade fees and the installation of Sprint cellular repeaters in Apple Stores. Now we've got one more clue which pretty much confirms the Sprint iPhone - if it turns out to be the real deal.
The folks over at 9to5Mac were sent a screenshot showing the inventory listing of the Radio Shack, and on it is an entry with the description “16GB SPRINT APPLE IPHONE 5″ alongside other entries for the Verizon and AT&T iPhone 5.

iTunes 10.5 Beta 9 Now Available For Download!

While we do not currently have exclusive details on what's new in the latest beta, it is apparent that the latest beta packs enhancements and improvements beyond the beta 8 release. Also, this is the last beta after which Apple will be rolling out iTunes 10.5 Gold Master release just around the time of iOS 5 launch. There should also be an update for iTunes Match service in the 103MB-sth update.
Apple will also be launching the next version of iOS i.e., iOS 5 publicly.

Apple axes iPod click wheel games in iTunes, is the 'classic' model next?

We're all well aware that a new iPhone will see daylight next week. What's still a bit unclear is whether or not Apple plans on discontinuing the ol' faithful iPod classic. However, we may be getting a clue as to what fate the PMP may soon meet. The folks over at AppleInsider discovered that the link to iPod Click Wheel Games no longer appears on the App Store drop-down menu in iTunes.
