The Ultrabooks are coming, and it looks like ASUS' first foray into thin and light computing will officially arrive on October 11th in New York. According to a UX series landing page, we need only wait 15 more days before getting our hands the ASUS UX21 and its larger, but still svelte sibling, the UX31, once again. Sprint Temporarily Suspends Gingerbread Update for LG Optimus S

In what is normally a joyous occasion in the Android community has turned into a nightmare for some. Apparently, LG Optimus S owners who have recently updated their device to Android 2.3 Gingerbread have been reporting more bugs and issues than you can shake a stick at (that means a lot). Sprint has officially acknowledged these issues in their community forums and they let everyone know today that they are halting the update until further notice. Here’s a quick list of the confirmed issues from Sprint.

Skytex Skytab Windows 7 Tablet

With tablets now getting some much needed attention and interest coming from consumers, more and more of such devices are now slowly trying to gain entry into the market. So far, the market is dominated by the iPad and a bunch of Android tablets in the mix. One of the new players will be offering a Windows 7 tablet via the new Skytex Skytab S-series of tablet PC's. LG Optimus Slider Makes An Appearance On Best Buy's Website

Best Buy has outed the LG Optimus Slider today by listing the device as “coming soon” on their website. We thought we had this pegged for Sprint but it looks like they may have passed on this device, instead handing it off to Virgin Mobile. While we don’t have too many details to give, we can tell you that just like the Slider’s other Optimus cousins, the device will feature largely the same specs but this time with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Other notable specs include a 3.2-inch display, 3MP camera and running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Is a second generation Kindle Fire tablet hitting early next year?

Shortly after information started leaking out about the warmly-named Amazon tablet, gdgt offered up some supplementary details from sources explaining why the Fire looks an awful lot like the PlayBook. According to the anonymous informants, the thing was built using the same template as RIM's device. Apparently the product is more or less being rushed out the door to make it out in time for the holidays.
