Just as we expected them to, two Android-powered smartphones have become available at Telstra in Australia today. The Samsung Galaxy S II is obviously the higher-end of the pair, while the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo caters quite well to the midrange. The Samsung Galaxy S II has been available elsewhere in Australia for more than two months now, and you were able to pre-order one from Telstra for the past few days.
Telstra's Samsung Galaxy S II works on its 850 MHz NextG network, and can be yours for a massive $840 outright.

Verizon Wireless has officially announced the launch date of its Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. As expected, this will be July 28 (two days from now). The Tab 10.1 is Verizon's first LTE-capable tablet, and will cost $529.99 (16GB model), or $629.99 (32GB model).

AT&T's Galaxy S II Will Have Slide-Out QWERTY, Pictures Inside

Yesterday when a render of an unknown Samsung handset with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard surfaced, we raised the question as to whether or not it could be AT&T's variant of the Galaxy S II. Turns out, that is exactly what the device will be. Images of the handset have surfaced clearly showing the SGH-I927 model number associated with the Galaxy S II. This time around it appears as though Samsung has managed to slim up the handset considerably compared to last year's Epic 4G on Sprint (is it also safe to assume Sprint won't receive a keyboard-laden version of the Galaxy series this time?).

It is hard to find a cheap tablet with decent specs, but this soon-to-be released Andy Pad looks like it. Its manufacturer has been slowly teasing on Twitter about its 7-inch Andy Pad and Andy Pad Pro. And today, the latest teaser tweet is about its price with the Andy Pad to cost £129 (about $120), while the Andy Pad Pro would be priced at £179 (about $290). The entry-level Andy Pad features a Cortex A8 1.2 processor, resistive touchscreen with 860 x 480 resolution, 512MB of RAM, Android Gingerbread, front-facing camera, 8GB storage, microUSB, microSD, and Mini HDMI.
